Adıyaman University Faculty of Dentistry was established with the Decree of the Council of Ministers dated 04.04.2011 and numbered 2011/1595, published in the Official Gazette dated 15.04.2011 and numbered 27906.

The opening of two departments to the faculty and a total of 8 departments affiliated to these departments was decided at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 21/09/2011.

Foundation purpose of the faculty; To train dentists who are equipped with up-to-date, theoretical and practical knowledge, have cultural knowledge and communication skills, have developed research and problem-solving skills, and are able to lead their environment within the framework of universally accepted criteria.

Our faculty started its educational activities with 62 students in the 2016-2017 academic year. In the 2017-2018 academic year, 72 students, 82 students in the 2018-2019 academic year, 94 students given by ÖSYM in 2019-20020, our Faculty currently has 3 Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 8 Dr. Lecturer It has 7 lecturers and 22 assistants within the scope of DUS. Our faculty currently carries out educational services in the Dentistry Building and has 1 fully equipped student preclinical laboratory, 1 student gypsum casting laboratory and 2 student Phantom laboratories.
